Wayback Wednesdays: Crooklyn Dodgers

Brooklyn based Hip Hop Super Group the Crooklyn Dodgers are an ensemble of the most relevant MC’s of their time, consisting of rotating members.  Featured on Spike Lee Motion Picture Soundtracks (Crooklyn and Clockers), then resurrected by 9th Wonder for The Dream Merchant Vol. 2.  Too bad the group won’t have a track on Spike’s new film Red Hook Summer (slated for release this year, Aug. 10th).  Can’t wait for future projects, if at all possible.

Lyrical content still relevant to this day, peep…

Crooklyn- featuring Buckshot, Masta Ace & Special Ed, produced by Q-tip.

Return of the Crooklyn Dodgers- featuring Chubb Rock, O.C. & Jeru the Damaja, produced by DJ Permier.

Brooklyn in my Mind- featuring Jean Grae, Mos Def & Memphis Bleek, produced by 9th Wonder.
